Miley Cyrus Email Hacker Revealed
Cyrus account was hacked last year and saw fake nude photographs circulating blogs and forums shortly afterwards.
This is the mugshot of Josh Holly, the man accused of hacking into Miley Cyrus email and Myspace accounts.
21 year old Holly is working on a plea deal after pleading guilty to the crime and according to court documents, Holly, from Tennessee, and his lawyer, met with an FBI case agent "for the purposes of a proffer" and that they needed extra time to "have a further meeting(s) to continue that proffer."
Holly is known by the online name of 'Train Req'. This picture dates back to 2008 when he was arrested in his hometown.

Miley Cyrus Makes Surprise Visit to Lauren Alaina; Tells Her to “Just Do It For Yourself”
When Lauren Alaina belted out Miley Cyrus‘ hit “Climb” a few weeks ago, we bet the American Idol contestant had no idea she would soon meet one of her idols! Last night Miley paid a visit to Lauren during a visit this week which prompted Lauren to exclaim, “I love her!”
Lauren told reporters, “She was soooo nice! Miley gave me such great advice.” So, what exactly did the Hannah Montana star say? Miley’s advice to Lauren was all about keeping it real. “The most important thing you can do is just do it for yourself because you will always have mean comments and that’s never going to change.”
During their chat which included Miley’s comment that they have the same accent, Lauren sounded pretty psyched about meeting her idol. “I love her! She’s got the same sense of humor as me.”
In addition to the Miley excitement, Lauren also opened up about the random guy she brought onto the stage last night. Turns out, he wasn’t so random after all! “He’s an intern for American Idol,” she explained. “I don’t really even know him.” Interesting!

Miley Holds a Press Conference in Ecuador.
There was a few live tweets from it, which I've translated best I can:
- Singing with David Bisbal stands out to Miley as something incredible.
- With this tour she had more opportunities to visit countries that she has not visited. Miley chose Ecuador/South America because the fans demanded it!
- Miley says "You have to surround yourself with people who love you as a person and not by what you do"
- Miley finds it difficult to sing in Spanish, she stayed at school in Spanish class and now is learning again.
- "I think is very important to care for the earth we live in and do all the care of the planet!"
- "I have made many U.S. tours and they have been perfect!"
- Hannah Montana was in the same place and with the same people.Which is not the same peace of mind for the tour!
- "I am very excited to see my fans, I am very grateful to be here!"

Billy Ray Cyrus Thinks "The Miley Cyrus Show." is pretty cool
(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that's happening with country music artists behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.)
You know that skit on Saturday Night Live called "The Miley Cyrus Show"? Well, it pokes fun of both Miley and her father Billy Ray Cyrus. So when I talked to Billy Ray a couple of weeks ago, I just had to know if he thought it was funny or not, guessing that he'd be ticked off at the way the media will not leave him and his family alone. But I was wrong. "I love it. I laugh my head off when I see it," he said. "Because you know there's that saying that imitation is the highest form of flattery." I'm so glad he does like it because that means Cyrus is not taking himself too seriously. All the skit does is show cast member Jason Sudeikis in a long-hair wig and a soul patch playing the guitar, saying things to Miley like, "It is just nuts how special you are. You're like God's gift." and "You are like a pretty little George Lopez." Miley is played by SNL's Vanessa Bayer, and during one show, Miley herself took part in the skit by doing a dead-on Justin Bieber impersonation. Knowing that both Cyruses are capable of making fun of themselves, well, I guess that's pretty cool.

Miley Cyrus Laughs At Gossip Sites Over Braless Articles (@MileyCyrus)
All these sites are making a huge deal because Miles was spotted not wearing a bra in some of her pics from the other day. So what? We didn’t even bother reporting about it because it was bull crap news basically.
The only reason we are reporting anything now is because Miles took to her Twitter to laugh at these sites. She thinks it is downright hilarious.
@MileyCyrus: It’s hilarious to me that “is Miley Cyrus not wearing a bra a big deal?” is actually a head line HAHA!
We think it is very inappropriate for these so called professional news organizations to be reporting about her not wearing a bra. We posted the pics but never commented on that aspect of it because it was none of our business.

Plea Deal In Works As Admitted Miley Cyrus Hacker Debriefs With FBI Share
The Tennessee man who has admitted hacking Miley Cyrus’s e-mail and MySpace accounts is being debriefed by FBI agents as a prelude to him pleading guilty to unrelated federal criminal charges, according to a U.S. District Court filing.
In seeking a recent court continuance, the lawyer for Joshua Holly revealed that he and his 21-year-old client have met with an FBI case agent “for the purposes of a proffer” and that they needed extra time to “have a further meeting(s) to continue that proffer.”
The lawyer, Sumter Camp, noted in an April 14 affidavit that the proffer came as “a prelude to a settlement in this case.”
During a proffer session, a defendant can provide law enforcement officials with details of their criminal activity (and that of others), but those admissions cannot be used against them at trial. The proffer allows investigators to get a clear picture of what the defendant has to offer in exchange for a plea deal.
In Holly’s case, the debriefing sessions would likely touch on his extensive spamming and hacking escapades. When the FBI raided his Murfreesboro home in October 2008, Holly, who uses the online handle Train Req, told an agent that he often gained unauthorized access to “accounts belonging to celebrities” and used them to send out unauthorized spam messages. He targeted celebrities because the “high volume of Internet traffic they attracted" helped to cloak his illegal activities.
Holly, pictured in the above mug shot, did not return a voicemail message. Camp, a federal public defender, did not return a message left at his Nashville office.

Miley’s Interview With COSAS Magazine
Recently, Miley was interviewd by COSAS Magazine, a fan bought the magazine and for our happiness wrote the whole interview online, on the interview Miley talks about her tour, how her fans are reacting about her change of singing, etc. Check it out below:
MILEY CYRUSSource: mileysource.net
from girl to woman.
COSAS: Friends often come from high school or college, Where do your friends come from?
MILEY: My dad always has been a singer, so I grew up on tour. When I got the Hannah Montana role I was in 6th grade and lived in Nashville; so I was used to it. When I wanted to enter to the intertainment industry -
COSAS: But, Where do your friends come from?
MILEY: Nashville is the capital of country music, a lot of my friends are singers or play musical instruments… by the fact that they are musicians, they are honest, that’s why I like that my friends are related to music.
COSAS: How is to grow up in the spotlight?
MILEY: I think that’s the worst part of being in the industry, to have your private life so public. Something I’d like to change, would be that. That’s why I like to be so honest with my music and that’s what I want to show to my fans. My private life is no one’s business, and even more when it involves your family.
COSAS: Do you think you’ve missed something?
MILEY: No, I travel a lot and do what I want to.
COSAS: Have you heard all the stories about Britney Spears? There are a lot of people who expect you to be the new Britney
MILEY: When you’re part of the industry, everyone is waiting to see you fall. I’m sure there are other journalists, who are your co-wokers, waiting for you to fall ’cause they are jealous, so is in all industries! That’s why you have to separated, when it’s work, it’s work; when it’s your pivate life, only let people with a pure heart, enter to your life.
COSAS: What do you think about Britney?
MILEY: I love her. She’s great. I understand why she’s had those hard moments/bad times, but at the end, she is pure talent. She defines pop music.
COSAS: Who are your role models in the indutry?
MILEY: My Godmother, Dolly Parton
COSAS: Dolly Parton? Not Lady Gaga, not Madonna?
MILEY: How can I admire someone who I don’t know in person?, They are incredible on a stage but I don’t know their hearts… I don’t know who they are.
COSAS: What can your fans expect of your concert?
MILEY: What I attempt to do is have fun and expect my fans to sing along. That is what I like the most about writing a song, fans singing along every song

Never Before Seen Childhood Photo of Miley
Billy Ray Cyrus nick named his daughter “Smiley” when she was younger (which ultimately lead to the shortened “Miley”), but by the looks of this picture, Miley Cyrus was anything but!
In the pic — taken in 1995 when Miley was the ripe old age of 2 — it looks like little Miles was having a bit of a tantrum as she hung out with her Grandma at one her dad’s shows at Nashville’s Wildhorse Saloon. We wonder what caused the mini-meltdown?Maybe she was just taking a note from dad and trying to warm up her vocal pipes? Although Miley’s Grandma Loretta Finely did admit to the now 18-year-old singer as being a “handful.”Source: celebuzz.com

Billy: 'My Wish Is for Miley to Be Happy'
Watching his daughter Miley follow in his musical footsteps.
"That's what it's all about for our family and for all musicians. I think music is an evolution of what an artist is feeling and going through in their lives. We've always been the fans of singers and songwriters who live what they're singing and sing what they're living."
His wish for Miley as she grows in her career.
"My wish for her is to be happy. To love what she's doing. We've always had a slogan in our family: 'If you ain't happy, it ain't working.' You need to love what you're doing. As long as she's happy and loving making music -- and I know she loves acting -- that's all that matters. I pray the same for Miley as I pray for my other kids -- that they live their life with purpose knowing that it's about giving back and finding out what you can do in this world to hopefully make it a better place."
For country star-turned-actor Billy Ray Cyrus, music has always been a source of inspiration. And after a difficult year, which saw Cyrus call off his divorce from wife Tish and make amends with superstar daughter Miley, the 49-year-old star is ready for a fresh start.
In addition to gearing up for the release of his upcomingalbum , I'm American, Cyrus is also using his famous voice to educate people about Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), in honor of his grandfather who battled symptoms of the disease.
Cyrus talked to Parade.com about his connection to the health initiative. Plus, his biggest hope for his famous daughter as she looks to shed her teen queen image.
Raising awareness of COPD, or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
"I was stunned to find out that COPD is the fourth leading cause of death in America and actually kills more people each year than breastcancer and diabetes combined -- that really stood out to me. I was shocked, and the more I learned about it, the more I realized I had connections to the disease. My grandfather suffered from symptoms of COPD and I just realized that this was a very worthy cause. Prevention and awareness can sometimes be the best way to fight this disease."
The healing power of music.
"Music can be a healer in itself. It has always been a great inspiration for me. My grandfather played bluegrass music and my earliest memories are Saturday nights sitting around singing bluegrass and Sunday morning we'd be at my other grandfather's church singing southern gospel songs. Music always was an important cornerstone of my family and still is today."
Watching his daughter Miley follow in his musical footsteps.
"That's what it's all about for our family and for all musicians. I think music is an evolution of what an artist is feeling and going through in their lives. We've always been the fans of singers and songwriters who live what they're singing and sing what they're living."

I pray the same for Miley as I pray for my other kids -- that they live their life with purpose knowing that it's about giving back and finding out what you can do in this world to hopefully make it a better place."
His advice for future stars.
"I'll lean back to a couple buddies of mine, one being Waylon Jennings, the other being Johnny Cash, the other being Carl Perkins, all three of those great men said the same thing to me: 'Cyrus, keep it real. Be who you are and do what you do because you love it.' I've followed that example of keeping it real. Nothing else in this business is worth it. Don't be chasing fads or trying to necessarily be the guy that's trying to fit in with everybody else. Be who you are and be an original."
How he deals with the negative side of fame.
"I try to focus on the positive. Fame can be dangerous. I think it's important to stay focused on where you wanna go, what you're all about, and what you want to do with your work. And there will be a lot of distractions out there. That's why it's all the more important to stay focused on what you believe in."
Gearing up for his new album I'm American, due out June 28.
"I am so excited about getting back out on the road. We're kicking off the tour here in a few weeks and we've got a brand new single shipping out to radio soon. It's called 'Runway Lights,' and it's the theme song for my new series I'm doing on TLC called Homecoming. It's about the troops. They sacrifice an awful lot for us and this show is all about giving back to them and reuniting families. It's just a great way to support our troops. There will be a sneak peek premiere of the show on Memorial Day on TLC and it will return on July 11."
On the first time he heard his voice on the radio.
"It was in 1989, I had written the song 'Some Gave All' for a Vietnam veteran that I met in this club in Huntington, West Virginia. I immediately made a recording of the song and I remember hearing it play one night on the radio and I had a feeling that music might be my purpose. My prayer and my goal always was that God use my life and my music to represent his light and his love and to hopefully fulfill my purpose on this earth. I do believe that music is my calling. That's why I write songs, that's why I record, and to be honest, that's why I do television and even got into acting."

Michael Jackson's daughter mistaken for Miley Cyrus
The Jackson kids must be pretty sick and tired of the paparazzi always chasing them around trying to get their photos, but at least they managed to see the funny side of a recent encounter with a rather misinformed photographer.
13-year-old Paris Jackson and her 14-year-old brother Prince Michael were spotted by paps while leaving their acting class in LA.
Paris made a rude gesture at the waiting photographers but quickly remembered her manners and switched to a Miley Cyrus-style peace sign.
In a case of very mistaken identity, one of the snappers called out, “Miley, Miley, one picture Miley!” Which prompted Prince Michael to absolutely crack up laughing.
Check out the video above. It's good to see the kids looking happy... even if they are being stalked by paps who don't even know their names!

'Make-A-Wish' kid jets to Hollywood to see Miley
April 19--Haley Reseter, to quote Hannah Montana, was most definitely enjoying the "Best of Both Worlds" on Monday afternoon in Morgantown.
She got to cruise around town in the same white stretch limo that was whisking her off to Pittsburgh International Airport for her first plane ride.
To Los Angeles.
To meet Miley Cyrus, the singer and actress who sang the above-mentioned song as the above-mentioned character in the popular TV show on the Disney channel.
"Oh, boy, I don't know what I'll say when I see her," Haley said. "I might have to give her a hug."
Haley, 10, of Westover, is getting her trip through the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northern West Virginia, the nonprofit organization that grants trips, celebrity meetings and other "wish" adventures for children with life-threatening medical conditions.
Superior Ford Lincoln, of Sabraton, is granting the wish, which includes a visit with the star during a concert rehearsal and a sight-seeing trip to Universal Studios.
Accompanying Haley are her mom, Faith Reseter, and Faith's mom, Sue DeWitt.
Faith laughed as she watched Haley living it up in the limo. Her daughter, she said, is heavyduty into Hannah, all the way.
"We've got all the movies on DVD and all the music on CD," she said. "We know all the words to all the songs."
When Haley was four, Faith said, she suffered a bout of encephalitis, an inflammation of the brain that robbed her of her mobility.

Sharon and Kelly Osbourne Rip Billy Ray Cyrus for Miley Comments (VIDEO)
Sharon and Kelly Osbourne were guests on 'Piers Morgan Tonight' (weekdays, 9PM ET on CNN), and they didn't hold back when asked about comments Billy Ray Cyrus made a couple months ago in 'GQ' about how he wished he had kept his daughter Miley Cyrus out of show business because'Hannah Montana' destroyed his family.
"I think that's a really inappropriate thing for someone to say, especially when what they did together gave that person their career back," Kelly, who is close friends with Miley, said of Billy Ray's remarks. "It's not fair to do that to your own child."
Sharon agreed with Kelly. "I don't think he should have done that in print."
Kelly then added that Billy Ray's comment "discredits everything that [Miley's] done in her life."
"She made him relevant again," Sharon chimed in, echoing what Kelly had said earlier.
Well, if the Cyrus family really was destroyed by Miley's show-business success, it looks like she has another family she could join.

Taylor Momsens Rep didnt alow reporters to ask about the comparision to Miley Cyrus
Taylor's pretty dang tame
Taylor Momsen may front a band called Pretty Reckless, but she’s becoming more canned than Spam, thanks to her publicist's controlling ways.
The 17-year-old struck the pose of a rock rebel when her group performed at the Music Unites in Tune Music Series at the Dominion NY venue on Wednesday night. Momsen dropped a litany of f-bombs, and encouraged female fans to come onstage, take off their bras and dance. One girl even went topless.
Yet at a press op before the performance, the former "Gossip Girl" actress' rep, Hillary Siskind, insisted on vetting reporters' questions for Momsen. She forbade us from asking about her bad-girl image or to compare herself to fellow teen performer Miley Cyrus.
We were allowed to discuss Momsen's music with her, and on that topic she was chatty but somewhat rehearsed — which left us wondering if her in-concert f-bombs were scripted, too.

Billy Ray Cyrus Tests Negative For COPD (@billyraycyrus, @MileyCyrus)
BRC went to the doctor to have himself checked for COPD and other lung issues. He has been given a good score on his tests and he does not have COPD. He is thankful that he will not have to suffer with this disease like his grandfather did. BRC went to have this checked out voluntarily and not because he was having any sort of issues with his breathing or otherwise.
He tells website CMT.com, “I didn’t have a perfect score, but I passed.”
In discussing what his grandfather went through, BRC had this to say, “I saw him struggle to breathe. It makes you feel helpless. The more I learn about the disease, I realise how many people in my part of Appalachia had trouble like this. Breathing is just such an intricate part of living.”
We are glad that BRC is in good shape. No one should have to suffer from COPD or any other disease for that matter. Are you guys happy for him?

Bella Thorne Loves Miley Cyrus (@MileyCyrus)
Bella Thorne loves Miley. She tweeted last night Miley’s video for Who Owns My Heart and replied to a fan with the following message.
@Bellathorne143: Miley is amazing. She has never let anyone or anything stop her.. She just keeps going. What’s not to love?
Ok Bella did make her sound like the energizer bunny (haha), but everyone respects Miles for her accomplishments. You have to be a fan of Miles just because of that if nothing else.
We hope one day that Bella can claim Miley’s throne at Disney Channel and she seems to well on her way to doing that.
Do you guys think that Bella could fill Miley’s shoes where Disney is concerned?

Miley’s Interview on Fantasico: Miley: ‘I’m doing work that really reflects what I feel, “says Miley Cyrus
Actress and singer performs in May in Brazil. In an interview with Zeca Camargo, she talks about the transition to the real Hannah Montana Miley Cyrus.
Actress and singer performs in May in Brazil. In an interview with Zeca Camargo, she talks about the transition to the real Hannah Montana Miley Cyrus.
Fans can now celebrate Miley Cyrus arrives in Brazil last May for shows in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. She became famous on television as a girl as Hanna Montana, but now his career is definitely with your real name.
Fantastic – The first question is: how was that transition?
Miley Cyrus – I think my fans were great in that sense. At 12, I was a cute actress, but now I’m doing work that really reflects what I feel. Want to be more in touch with what I am, with my ideas and my vision.
This metamorphosis from Hannah to Miley was really something planned or just happened?
I could have planned better, yes.
But much has changed?
Sure. I’m much more confident. I have time to work on my music and do what I think is really worth. They are songs I’m sure I’ll hear in the future and I still have very proud of them.
You’ve always been an example for this generation of girls. Now, as a woman, will this continue?
I do not consider myself a model of anything. I do not like to sit here and pretend I’m perfect, as many people do. Do not want to be a different person for the media than I am in my real life. And I want my fans to know that and that my music will be.
Miley came from a family of artists. Her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, is a famous country singer from the United States, and her mother is music producer. To come from a family of artists …
Yes, it made things easier. My parents do not need the money I win or my fame. They have their careers and just want me to be happy with my work.
But you never asked him for advice?
Sure. And earlier, my dad was like, ‘Do not go there. Care ‘.
Talking about the future, you now have a music career, but it is a television actress and filmmaker. After all, what career will you bet?
This is difficult. The music was always in my heart. And I love acting. But in this case, you always have a director telling you what to do. With my music is different. I can express myself in fact, alone, on my own. Express different emotions.
Whichever path she chooses, you can be sure that the fans are going back. Thanks, Miley! Pretty soon we’ll be able to give it close. Is she is already training the Portuguese? She risks a “festival in Brazil.” It’s a good start, but you can still improve. See you in Brazil!

Miley Cyrus Clears Up Her Statements About Not Touring The US (@MileyCyrus)
As we reported yesterday, Miles made a statement that she was not touring the US because she didn’t feel the love in the US that she did in other countries. This statement has been blown out of proportion as usual by the media.
Miles took to her Twitter last night to clarify that it wasn’t a lack of love from her fans but that she just can’t deal with the US media. We thought that is what she meant by that statement yesterday but we are glad Miles cleared that up for everyone. She loves her fans but does not like the treatment she gets from critics, gossip sites and certain parents groups that trash everything she does. We really can’t blame her for that but don’t you think that sort of penalizes her fans because of what the media does to her?
Give us your thoughts on whether or not you think that Miles is letting the media dictate too much what she does or doesn’t do?

Ashley Tisdale Praises Miley
Former Disney starlet, Ashley Tisdale was asked by VerveGirl the following question and Miss Tisdale mentioned Miley:
VG: Outside of Sharpay, it seems like your personal image is a bit more edgier and just like with Hilary Duff and now Miley Cyrus going through the scrutiny of growing up in the public eye, how do you deal with it and how do you deal with your fans seeing two different sides of you?
AT: Yeah, well you know, obviously I’m like an actress…(laughs) well I am an actress (laughs) so I’m playing characters and obviously Sharpay has a little bit of me and so does my character on Hellcats or any other character that I ever play will always have a piece of me but they are not really who I am as a person. The difference between me and the character is that I am a little older and I feel like I don’t have to be a certain way. Its just a transitioning thing because when you’re young you want to be that older girl and if I give any advice to anybody its that you’re only young once and you can do that when you’re older. I think with Miley, she’s doing a great job with everything and she started so young, I’m glad for me that success came later in life because I was able to handle it in a different way.Source: themileycyrustour.com

Miley Cyrus Says Her Family Is Fine
Miley Cyrus says she feels more at ease heading out on an international tour now that things are fine on the home front.
Earlier this year, her parents, Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus, were getting a divorce, and her father was critical of his daughter's behavior. But the Cyruses recently called of their divorce and the family is spending time together.
On Thursday, Miley said her family is doing good — and she's happy about that since she leaves for South America and Australia on her Gypsy Heart Tour on April 27.
Cyrus said she's excited to head to South America for the first time, even though she doesn't know Spanish.
As for America, she said right now she's feeling the most love overseas, and she's not sure she's "completely comfortable" touring here.

omg :( poor bb.
"Miley Cyrus is one teen who won't cave in to peer pressure" THEY'RE just two siblings playing Nirvana covers in their parents' garage at high volume. The only difference is it's Miley Cyrus and her brother Trace, singer in Metro Station.
"Heart Shaped Box is my favourite Nirvana song," Miley says. Yes, really.
"It is," she insists. "I sing it all the time in our garage. Mom has turned the garage into such a cool place. I want to be a photographer, so we put in lights for me to do my photography. And my brother plays guitar there. It's fun."
Miley Cyrus wants to bring some of her garage fun to the arenas for her Gypsy Heart tour -- the first time she'll perform in Australia and a tour all about the music.
"I have to do stuff for me," Cyrus says. "I didn't get to do that on my last tour, it was all about how many costume changes we could do. I want to show people I am more than just what they see on TV. It's really personal."
That involves Cyrus doing a swag of covers. The title Gypsy Heart would suggest she's a Fleetwood Mac fan.
"Dang!" Cyrus says in her Southern drawl. "I love Stevie (Nicks). And Joan Jett. I'm doing covers of them. There's songs people won't expect."
File Heart Shaped Box and its lyrics about meat-eating orchids, umbilical nooses and cancer-consumption under that category. Cyrus is also a whizz at Smells Like Teen Spirit.
"I have a bunch of Nirvana songs I can do," she says.
"My band is freaking out. They have to learn every song by every artist I like because they never know what song I'll throw at them. This tour might be a mess but it'll be fun."
It won't be all bohemia and grunge covers; Cyrus will be playing the hits that made her famous -- See You Again, 7 Things, The Climb and Party in the USA among them.
"I can play anything off any of my solo records," she says. "There might be kids who don't know Nirvana. I hope they do. There could be complete silence after I play Teen Spirit and I'll just hear people saying, 'We want to hear Party in the USA!' "
Cyrus is used to everyone wanting something different from her.
Her career exploded as the split personality (school girl and pop star) on Hannah Montana, the 2006 show that made her rich and Disney even richer.
Her family relocated from Nashville to Hollywood where the show was filmed; Cyrus's father Billy Ray also got a role on the TV hit. He was previously best known for unavoidable No.1 Achy Breaky Heart and an almighty mullet.
Billy Ray made headlines earlier this year when he slated the show -- which ended last year -- in GQ magazine.
"The damn show destroyed my family," the country singer said. "Heck, yeah. I'd erase it all in a second if I could."
His daughter wants to set the record straight.
"My dad still loves that show. They only pick and choose what will sell, not necessarily what people want to hear. That's unfair to my dad and also to fans who think we're ungrateful for it. We loved doing that show.
"But it's also hard when you have to move a family of five kids from a small town to a big city, that'd take its toll on anybody, especially my mum.
"Mums are the ones that do it, they do the move, get kids in schools, it's a hard trot, so of course everyone's exhausted but we all embraced that show.
"It's five years since I auditioned -- it feels like a lifetime ago. I've changed a lot. I've gone from being a student and cheerleader in a normal school in Nashville to what I do now in just a few years."
Cyrus is no stranger to being scrutinised; but most teenagers turn 18 without websites counting down to the precise second.
One tabloid asked if Cyrus could survive the "Disney death sentence" of turning 18.
"I've done OK," Miley says. "I'm still alive. It's all good. I'm not in jail.
"Everyone freaks out -- 'Oh God, she's an adult now' -- but I've been working like an adult my whole life. People just look at the bad. They don't look at the time and effort I've put into my job and how much I've gotten done. They look at it as a bad thing I'm an adult, which is silly."
Controversy and Miley Cyrus are never too far apart.
Last year someone sold photographs of her using a bong -- she clarified it was a legal substance called Saliva popular among teenagers in LA. Which, of course, she is.
Her father slated her on Twitter ("There is much beyond my control right now") after the bong incident.
Cyrus cannily says: "It's fine. It's always been fine between me and my dad. People just make up whatever they want to say to sell magazines. No one's going to print my dad saying what a good girl I am and how proud he is of me. That doesn't sell magazines."
Cyrus talks with refreshing honesty. Despite her publicist insisting on not talking about her personal life, it's Cyrus who brings it up and is happy to discuss her whole life -- realising everyone else does.
Does she get the feeling people are waiting for her to really mess up?
"Yes," Cyrus says. "People love it because it sells something, a magazine or a TV show. I mess up. There you go. There's your headline. You'll sell your paper.
"But if you live your life trying to be perfect you don't really live your life because you don't really make any mistakes and at the end of your life you won't be very smart or wise."
It was that mentality Cyrus adopted when hosting comedy sketch show Saturday Night Live earlier this year.
Her opening monologue, I'm Not Perfect, saw her sing lines like, "There's a photo of me being kissed by a dude, Annie Liebowitz tried to get me nude . . ." She also talked about her pole dancing and, when noting she's never had a porn tape added, "don't these things seem worse than a bong?"
"If the whole world is going to stress about what I've done then I'll laugh at it," Cyrus says. "That lets everyone know it's OK. It's not a secret. It's like the elephant in the room."
Cyrus says the SNL crew initially tip-toed around her, worried if she'd be happy to take the mickey out of herself.
"It's not like people don't know what's going on in my life," she says. "It's OK to talk about it, I'm not losing any sleep at night and neither should anyone else. You learn from your mistakes and then you move on from them and you're a better person."
Cyrus was nominated for dual Razzies for worst actress last year for her work in The Last Song and Hannah Montana: The Movie.
Last year's Can't Be Tamed saw her slated for a racy, sexualised video.
"It bothers me when someone doesn't like what I do," Cyrus says. "But my true fans are down with it. I'm an artist, not a puppet. You can't tell me what to write because you can't tell me what to feel.
"I'm an actress when I want but I wouldn't be a musician if I wanted to act all the time. I want to be able to do both.
"Acting is when I get to be someone I'm not, but when it comes to my music I can't do that, I have to say what's on my mind. You hope people like it, but if not, it's your record, it's your name on it, you have to be proud of it, not anyone else."
Cyrus is between albums. And she's between music.
"I'm just writing right now, mostly for other artists. There's so much going on I don't feel I can give 110 per cent to any album so I'm writing when I have free days."
Instead she's listening to music ("I love dubstep -- dubstep for driving, rock and roll at home") and hanging with her mother Tish.
Her parents separated, but recently reconciled. Tish took to Facebook to silence rumours: "Our family has weathered a huge storm and I feel we are stronger than we have ever been."
"Most people hate that their mum has a Facebook page, but I love that my mum does," Cyrus says. "Every day there's new crap someone writes, my mum gets to clear it up."
Which reminds her of something her father tells her.
"My dad always says, 'He who has not sinned can cast the first stone'," Cyrus says.
"People can judge me all they want but it's usually because there's something going on with themselves. You just have to be proud of what you do."

"Miley Cyrus is one teen who won't cave in to peer pressure"
