Miley Cyrus Urges Kids To Protect Their Hearing

Miley Cyrus has urged young people to protect their hearing - by simply turning down the volume when they listen to music.
The singer and actress has teamed up with the Starkey Hearing Foundation to inform people that just by turning down their MP3 players, they can prevent themselves from going deaf.
"As an artist, I want to make sure fans are able to experience the magic of music as it was intended," explained Miley.
"By just lowering the volume and using the right protection for your ears, hearing loss can be prevented, which means never losing the ability to enjoy the sound of a guitar, a beautiful lyric or a favorite song."
As a way of encouraging fans to take part, Miley is offering people the chance to win a "listening experience with her" through the Listen Carefully Sweepstakes.
The lucky winner will be able to listen in on a sound check while the Hannah Montana star prepares for her July 24 Starkey Hearing Foundation’s Annual Awards Gala in Minneapolis.
