MILEY Cyrus plays Ronnie Miller, a teenager who is left angry and resentful after her parents divorce and her father moves away.
Her mum decides to send her away to spend the summer with her estranged dad, and during the holiday, she slowly manages to bury the past, while also falling for a local boy.
Naturally Miley fans will want to give it a look, and she receives good support in this drama from the ever reliable Greg Kinnear and Kelly Preston, aka Mrs John Travolta.
Look out for Liam Hemsworth, brother of Thor star Chris Hemsworth. Liam can soon be seen as Ali Baba in an upcoming big-screen version of Arabian Nights.
This $20m production didn’t do too badly at the box office, raking in almost $90m worldwide.
