Five years ago, today, Miley Cyrus burst into the spotlight when Hannah Montana premiered on Disney Channel: The show follows the story of a teen girl named ‘Miley Stewart’ who is a normal girl by day and a pop star at night by the name of ‘Hannah Montana’. Miley Stewart created this persona (within the show) so that she is able to live a normal life and the public can’t interfere with her personal life and people would treat her like a normal person and, of course, only some friends and family members knew the real girl underneath that blonde wig.
Hannah Montana’s regular cast consists of Miley Cyrus, Billy Ray Cyrus, Emily Osment, Mitchel Musso and Jason Earles. Emily and Mitchel play Miley’s BFF called ‘Lilly’ and ‘Oliver’ respectively, Billy Ray plays her father ‘Robby Ray Stewart’ and Jason plays her brother ‘Jackson’ on the show. Miley, Lilly and Oliver the kids in school who were over shadowed by the ‘popular kids’; Jackson works at the beach; hitting on every cute girl he’d see, teasing his little sister and Robby Ray Stewart is the single father of Miley and Jackson Stewart. Miley Stewart’s mom had died when she was young. Billy Ray Cyrus is Miley Cyrus’ real life father. Miley got her part first then she had Billy Ray casted as her on-screen father.
