Miley is not a falling star but no longer Hannah Montana

The whole idea that Miley Cyrus has disappointed her fans and let down the image of Hannah Montana is ridiculous. Why is it that we allow our children to look up to celebrities in the first place? If your child’s hero and role model was Miley Cyrus then you have failed as a parent.

Miley Cyrus was never a role model. She has been basically acting the way she is now since she was 14 years old. If she is disappointing you now then you should have directed your children fours years ago not to look up to her. YOU should be your children’s role model not some celebrity.

As for the argument that she should be worried about being a role model is preposterous. It’s not her job to raise your kids. Should she have been smoking a bong? Probably not. Is it the end of the world or her career? Absolutely not. In fact, this may give her move credibility with the older audience she needs to attract in order to keep her career going. She can’t continue to be a star if she has to rely on 13 year old’s buying her albums. As she gets older she has to connect with older fans including people in their late teens and early twenties. Her actions over the last year and half will undoubtedly help her do that.
All that smoking a bong proves is that Miley Cyrus is a regular person that is under the same kind of pressure that all teens her age are under.

Miley Cyrus is still a huge star and is not falling by any means. Any argument to the contrary is just wrong.
