So Undercover Release Info

According to IMDB, So Undercover will be release in the USA on the 5th of October this year and which will be limited. It will also be release in The UK on December 7th and on the 19th of December will be its release in Belgium and in Greece and The Netherlands on the 20th and in Russia on January 3, 2013.

So Undercover is also known as I'm Like Sooo Undercover as the working title in US.

Last winter Miley Cyrus finished her new movie "So Undercover." Or so thats what fans/hollywood thought. Yesterday Miley was spotted at the UCLA campus filming once again with her co-star Josh Bowman. Rumors went around saying that they were filming re-shoots for the movie, which is true. However now people are saying that Cyrus was also filming the alternative ending for "So Undercover." Considering this you would assume that the movie would be pushed back instead of coming out this fall. WRONG according to a source on the set who asked about the movie, its still coming out this October. Apparently in the USA its coming out in October. While in other countries its coming out as late as December. Considering movie trailers are already out for the month of October. Promotion for this movie needs to happen ASAP. We wouldnt wanna see Miley's movie flop like Monte Carlo did.

Miley Cyrus LOL And So Undercover Release Dates Right Now

While no official information has come out yet  from the distributors  about release dates  for So Undercover and LOL in the US there are release dates listed in other countries at IMDb. They still list LOL as just 2011 and So Undercover as October 2011 for a US release
The rest of the release dates are as follows:

Based on just the release dates in these other countries we are going to venture to say that both movies are going to be released in at least the first two weeks of October. Usually US releases precede UK releases unless they decide to roll the movie out worldwide at the same time.
There has been very little promotion of both of these movies outsite a few news site and fan sites to speak of. We hope this does not hurt the movies at the box office when they are released.

Question: Tell us more about the Miley Cyrus film.
JP: It’s called So Undercover and I basically play a character that puts Miley undercover and it’s the type of role that I’ve never played. It’s straight laced, button down, FBI agent and Miley and I verbally spar quite a bit. I loved it though and I had a great time with Miley. There’s some great chemistry between us.

Miley Cyrus action comedy So Undercover sells for Exclusive

Exclusive Films International head Alex Walton has reported a deluge of interest here on the Miley Cyrus action comedy So Undercover.

Walton has closed a raft of deals on the film, which stars Cyrus as an FBI agent who infiltrates a college sorority and has just wrapped principal photography. US buyers are circling and a domestic deal is expected soon.
Deals have closed with Germany (Constantin), France (Metropolitan), Australia (Roadshow), Russia (West), Latin America (California), Scandinavia (Svensk), Benelux (Independent) and Eastern Europe (SPI).
“Miley is a worldwide phenomenon as a TV star, musician and fashion figure and the market has proved she has great value in film to our distributors,” Walton said.
Tom Vaughan directed So Undercover and the key cast includes Jeremy Piven, Mike O’Malley and Kelly Osbourne.
Walton’s EFM slate includes George Clooney’s political drama Ides Of March — which sold last week to eOne in the UK, Tobis in Germany and Metropolitan in France, among others — as well as Martin Scorsese’s Untitled George Harrison Documentary and Hammer Films production The Woman In Black starring Daniel Radcliffe.

No Specific Time Frame Set On Trailer Release For Miley Cyrus “So Undercover"

We have been fielding a lot of questions today on Twitter concering Miley Cyrus’  So Undercover movie . What we know at this time is that our information has the release set in Oct. 2011.  The Weinstein Co., which will distribute the movie has not issued a specfic release date yet,  The ball park time of the  movie release is still in October as of right now.
As for a trailer, we called them and asked about that. They told us that they would issue a trailer after they Officially set the release date of the movie but offered no specific time frame on when that might occur.
We are currently seeing promotional stills from the movie popping up so it should not be too much longer before we see more info surrounding this movie like a trailer. We will post what we have for you guys when we get it.
We know everyone is anxious to see this movie and get as much info on it as possible but we all have to wait on the studios as it is their call when they decide to release the information.

Miley Cyrus’ “So Undercover” Slated To Be Released In October

We just found out that Miley’s movie So Undercover will be premiering sometime in October. The film has been acquired by the  The Weinstein Company for distribution in the US. The Weinstein Company is the same company that used to own Miramax before selling it to Disney back in the 1990′s. 

“We’re excited to be working with Miley Cyrus as she transitions from child phenomenon to grown-up star,” TWC’s Glasser said in a statement. “She’s got charisma and talent to burn.”

Interview with So Undercover writer and producer

Seven years ago, as he was writing the just-wrapped New Orleans-shot action-comedy "So Undercover" -- looong before Miley Cyrus was ever attached to star in it -- Steven Pearl flashed back to his college days at Tulane University.

He was writing a scene set inside a college lecture hall, and -- although his movie wasn't   originally set in New Orleans -- his mind immediately conjured up a memory of Tulane's Richardson Memorial Hall, where Pearl had taken Psych 101 some 20 years earlier.
Flash forward seven years, and Pearl would find himself standing in that very classroom, with Cyrus, preparing to roll the cameras.
"(It was) the exact lecture hall that I had imagined when writing the script," Pearl said this week on the film's last day of shooting.

Miley Cyrus’ Movie Writer Opens Up About So Undercover

It took seven years but Steven Pearl’s vision finally became a reality for him. Steven is the writer for Miley Cyrus’ new movie “So Undercover”.   Steven is a Tulane University alumni and in a recent interview revealed why wanted the movie shot at Tulane and what that was like for him.

“In my mind’s eye, it was always locations on (Tulane’s) campus, locations around the city of New Orleans — that’s what I know, I love, and that’s what got injected into the script,” Pearl said.

“(It was) the exact lecture hall that I had imagined when writing the script,” Pearl said this week on the film’s last day of shooting. “To be sitting in that classroom, watching the scene be filmed, when seven years ago this is exactly where I imagined the scene happening, was surreal to say the least.”

“The intent was, certainly from my point of view, to not only tell a good, fun commercial movie, but to kind of lay out a love letter, if you will, to New Orleans,” Pearl said. “And we’ve shot everywhere. We’ve really made the most of seeing this city, from unique places in the Quarter, into the CBD to Uptown and Tulane — just everyplace that we’ve gone has really embraced the ‘New Orleans’ of it all.

"So Undercover," the Miley Cyrus movies that has been shooting in New Orleans for the past few weeks, won't be in theaters for months -- but you can watch it happen live right now on your computer screen.

Exclusive information about "So Undercover":

1. The film opens in 2012, according to what they said on the set.

2. In the film all play a game called "Cornhole". The game consists of throwing a bag through holes on a board. Miley just have holed one through the holes. That's why she said "I suck" and had to start the whole scene again.

3. On set filming scenes at least 6 or 7 times that the director likes. They make many strategies in the background.

4. It has banned photos on the set due to the large number of things that were leaked online of the movie.

5. For the cars that would be used in front of the Luling Mansion in the Frat Party was asked not to be black, white or red.

6. Finished filming next January 24, not in February as had been originally estimated.
