Jeremy Piven talks Miley Cyrus

In Mark Pellington’s divisive Sundance entry I Melt With You, Jeremy Piven plays a hard-partying Ari Gold-type reuniting for one crazy weekend with three college besties (Thomas Jane, Christian McKay, and Rob Lowe). But Pellington’s psychological thriller is much darker than its Hangover-esque premise suggests, and as it takes the turns that alienated many critics in Park City, Piven plumbs intensely complex emotional depths. He spoke with Movieline about the polarizing film, his anti-Ari Gold roots, and — why not? — Miley Cyrus.

What else have you been up to in your search for different roles?
I just played played opposite Miley Cyrus, which was amazing. Who’da thunk that I’d get along so well with this 18-year-old rock ‘n’ roll girl.

She seems very mature for her age.
She is. She’s got such a fun, great energy. She loves life and is having a great time and is totally professional. Wise beyond her years, but she definitely is 18 years old and is having a great time.

Songwriter Jessie J. Has Never Met Miley Cyrus

She penned a huge hit for Miley Cyrus titled “Party In The USA” but confesses in a recent interview that she has never met Miles.

I’ve never met her, that’s what people don’t realize. You know what’s more weird though, is that you’re not actually there when they record it. I recorded ‘Party In The USA’, played it for the label but they didn’t think it was right for me. So they pitched it and two weeks later it was number one in six countries.”

That is truly amazing as you would think that the songwriter would work closely with the star on any music they wrote for them. Just goes to show that in Hollywood that everything is not what it seems.

Miley's grandfather to be honored with memorial tribute

Ron Cyrus, Beloved Father of Billy Ray Cyrus, Honored Posthumously with the Warren Zevon “Keep Me in Your Heart” Memorial Tribute. Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) Recognizes Esteemed Legislator for His Commitment to Making a Difference through Public Service

ADAO today announced that it is honoring Ron Cyrus with the Warren Zevon “Keep Me in Your Heart” Memorial Tribute. Cyrus, a Kentucky Legislator for 21 years, passed away in 2006 from the rare asbestos-related cancer, mesothelioma. The Warren Zevon tribute will be presented at ADAO’s Seventh Annual International Asbestos Conference April 2, 2011, in Atlanta, Georgia.

“I am honored to accept the 'Keep Me in Your Heart' Memorial Tribute on my father’s behalf," said Billy Ray Cyrus. “The tragedy of asbestos disease is a story that unfortunately continues to be written for many families. I hope that my father’s legend of 'making a difference through his work' can help give an even louder voice to ADAO."

“I am enormously honored to have had the opportunity to pay tribute to Ron Cyrus,” said Jordan Zevon, ADAO spokesperson, who lost his father – Warren Zevon – to mesothelioma in 2003. “It is not just the deadly disease that they shared, but a passion for fearlessly taking a stance on what is right.”

“Ron Cyrus’ legacy is immeasurable, as he served in the United States Air Force and in the Kentucky House of Representatives for 21 years. His unselfish public service legacy echoes ADAO’s educational efforts to help end the tragedy of asbestos disease,” commented Linda Reinstein, ADAO CEO and co-founder. “We are extremely honored to have the chance to recognize Mr. Cyrus in Warren Zevon’s name.”

“Miley Ray Cyrus released the beautiful ‘I MISS YOU’ in 2007 in memory of her grandfather. As a widow who lost her husband to mesothelioma, this song literally brought tears to my eyes,” said Reinstein. “Our community of patients, families, and friends find its message especially meaningful. It is yet another reminder that as asbestos victims we are all connected by pain, yet simultaneously empowered by hope.”
The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization’s 7th Annual International Asbestos Awareness Conference, “Asbestos: Impact on Public Heath, Environment, and the Economy” will be held April 1 - 3, 2011, at the Atlanta Marriott Buckhead Hotel & Conference Center. Presentations will include occupational and non-occupational exposure issues, detection and treatment advances, environmental and economic impact, and national and global policy. The conference is made possible with the support and collaborative efforts of the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit, Michigan.

Miley Cyrus’ Pot Smoking Scene Edited Out Of LOL

It is being reported that after the bong scandal broke that the producers of the film LOL decided to edit out Miles’ scene where it depicted her smoking pot.

“The scene can’t be reshot,” the source explains. Instead, using “tricky editing and effects magic, they are erasing all traces of her inhaling or being in the same shot with the actor.”

”The studio doesn’t want to take any chances having the controversy affect the film,” says the insider

Do you guys think that this is a good idea that they did this?

Face Behind The Name: Meet Josh Holly, Suspected Miley Cyrus Hacker

Meet Joshua Holly.

The Tennessee man, 21, was named Friday in a felony informationcharging him with possessing roughly 200 stolen credit card numbers. Holly, who was arrested December 30 on a federal criminal complaint, has agreed to a waiver of indictment, which often signals that a defendant has agreed to plead guilty.

Pictured at right in a United States Marshals Service mug shot, Holly is scheduled for a February 11 appearance in U.S. District Court in Nashville.

Holly first gained notoriety in 2008 after he admitted to hacking pop star Miley Cyrus’s e-mail and MySpace accounts. According to an FBI affidavit, Holly (using the alias “TrainReq”) stole and distributed racy images of Cyrus, who was then a minor. Holly, who has earned six figures sending out spam messages, has not been charged with the incursion into Cyrus’s accounts

Though Holly told TSG last February that he had stopped hacking after the FBI raided his home, he continued to brag about his assorted illegal exploits in online forums like Digital Gangster. If convicted of the credit card count, Holly faces up to ten years in jail and $250,000 in fines.
